Dear Diary,
Me and my family are just starting off on this long 2,000 mile journey and we are all very excited about this new opportunity. We have already seen new species of animals and plants and we hope to see more along the way.

Dear Diary,
We are off to a pretty good start but have had some difficulties along the way. My son is very sick and the trail is proven to be very rough and dusty. At some times it is hard to breath or even see. We have seen even more new animals that are very interesting and the scenery is beautiful.

Dear Diary,
I haven't written to you in a long time and that is because I am very sad with the loss of my son. He died a few weeks ago and the whole family is in mourning. We are making great progress along this endeavor and have successfully cross multiple rivers without loosing or damaging anything.

Dear Diary,
We are getting closer and closer every day to the Oregon Country and we know it. We are all tired and hungry but we a fighting through it and pushing ahead. With every day we discover new things about the animals and the land we are traveling on. We are moving fast and will be to Oregon soon.

Dear Diary,
We have finally made it to Oregon! We are very happy that we have come this far and are hoping to begin a new life here in Oregon. It isn't exactly how it was described but it is good enough for us and we are just happy to be here.
